OUR STORY
WELCOME!
The Farm is located near the small rural village Broughton-in-Furness in a woodland valley with many footpaths leading directly from the farm. We're located in the heart of the Lake District, 15 minutes' drive from the nearest lake (Coniston Water) and 40 from Windermere.
We run a small, friendly and family-run site on a working farm with dogs, sheep, cows, ponies, ducks and hens taking up residence!
Next to the campsite we have Three ladies' and three gents' showers, a freezer and a washing-up area among the site amenities and plenty of electrical sockets to charge up those devices!
Moss Side's nearest village is Broughton-in-Furness a seven-minute drive or 30 or so minute walk away; here guests can buy bread from the award-winning Broughton bakery and groceries and meat from a family-run butcher and grocer. The village also has three pubs, two of which serve food, a restaurant, two cafés, a petrol station, a post office, a bank and a gift shop.
We're OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND and we're dog friendly (as long as they're well behaved and kept on leads).
THE FARM
We are a working farm so we do have animals around the place, who mainly keep to themselves! Our friendly dogs might come to say hello every once in a while so be sure to keep your BBQ'd sausages out of their reach!
We wish you a lovely stay, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! We have a small tuck shop on site where you can buy wood for your fires and even marshmallows to toast. However, if you should need anything else, the local village is only a 5-7 min drive away with a butchers and grocers.

" Had the most enjoyable long weekend away with my partner. It is a perfect location. We pitched at the top of the hill, we enjoyed beautiful views and were able to sit round the campfire.
Lady running it made us feel very welcome and we would recommend to anyone. "

" Came with the kids and dog and stayed in the wooden sleepers. Fabulous experience. Local pubs were lovely and food was great. Dogs allowed too. Kids loved running about in fresh air. Great time had by all. "
